I’ve been looking at my car’s steering wheel lately and it’s really starting to show its age. The leather is worn smooth in the places where my hands sit at 10 and 2, and there are a few scuffs that just look tired. I’ve seen some cheap steering wheel covers online, but honestly, they always look like an afterthought and don’t fit properly, especially on modern wheels with thicker rims or flat bottoms. I’m wondering if it’s possible to just get the worn sections re-wrapped with fresh leather or Alcantara, which is a premium suede-like fabric used in high-end cars. I’ve heard that some places can also restore the cracked or faded parts of the dashboard and centre console, which would really bring the cabin back to life. I’m basically looking for a workshop that offers proper car steering wheel upholstery in Abu Dhabi that can disassemble the wheel, fit a new custom skin, and stitch it back up so it looks factory-fresh. Has anyone here had their steering wheel or dashboard re-wrapped locally and can recommend a place that does quality work?
