I’ve got a 2017 Camaro SS that’s been my daily driver for a couple years now, and over the past month the automatic transmission has started slamming into second gear when it’s cold. Once the car warms up it’s mostly fine, but that first few minutes of driving feels awful and I’m worried I’m damaging something. I called the Chevrolet dealer in Dubai and they want me to leave the car for a full week just to look at it, which I can’t do because I need the car for work. A guy at a car meet told me to try Sharjah because the labor rates are better and there are shops that actually specialize in American cars. He mentioned looking for an Expert Chevrolet Repair Workshop Sharjah that knows the A8 transmission issues these Camaros are known for. Has anyone here had transmission work done on their Camaro or Corvette in Sharjah? I really need someone who can properly diagnose if it’s a fluid issue, a torque converter problem, or something with the valve body. I don’t want to just throw a new transmission at it if a simple flush and software update would fix it. Any recommendations for a trustworthy Chevy specialist would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.
